Introducing: The Super Den XL High-Rise Overlanding Topper!

The Super Den XL is an all-aluminum, high-rise overlanding topper with maximized side panel access and big ole’ side doors that double as awnings! It’s basically our Super Den topper, plus 5-6” more height! Using our tried-and-true fox box formula, the Super Den XL is made of durable CNC laser cut and welded aluminum sheet metal and is made to fit your specific make and model of truck perfectly. We produce it in panels and put it in a box, so it can be shipped anywhere in the USA for moderately skilled DIY people to assemble in an afternoon. You can also elect to have it installed at our headquarters in Golden, Colorado, or find someone local to install it for you.

After a couple years of selling the original Den topper and our Lair truck camper we learned more about how our customers use their trucks and came to understand that mid and high rise toppers were highly desired but hard to come by, especially for short bed trucks and models that maybe aren’t as common as others. Some truck owners value a streamlined, cab-height topper to max out that fuel economy. Other truck owners have their rig specifically to do certain tasks and that extra height is the make-it-or-break-it factor when it comes to deciding whether they can keep their cargo dry and secure with a topper, or have to settle for leaving their load open to the elements and available to thieves. Just like the Super Den, the Super Den XL has huge side panels that double as a built-in awning and provide a phenomenal canvas for some gear-storage works of art on the inside and out!

We really upped the storage game with the Super Den and it gets even better with the Super Den XL! Every type of side panel has at least some built-in storage in the form of molle panels. That’s right, you can now have that side window AND get a molle panel too! Super Den XL toppers equipped with sliding side windows feature a molle panel that surrounds each window on the inside, where models equipped with flat panel or accessory panel doors will feature a full length, full height molle panel on the inside of the door.

The Super Den XL comes in five panels and bolts together with stainless steel hardware. Heavy-duty polyurethane windshield adhesive is used in key areas to guard against leaks. In our opinion,  if you can assemble IKEA furniture and caulk the seam behind your bathroom sink, you should have no problem assembling the Super Den in an afternoon! We totally understand that some people won’t want to do this themselves and that’s okay! Many online customers have had great luck hiring trusted local handymen or mechanics to build the Super Den XL for them. We’re happy to support anyone assembling our products! Installation is, of course, available at our Golden Colorado location if you live near enough for that option.
