Warranty & Returns

Basic Terms:

WanderFox toppers are warranted to be free of manufacturer defect for 90 days after the date the product was received. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, impact, or improper assembly. It does not cover degradation due to prolonged UV exposure or road de-icing chemicals.

...So, lubricate those locks once or twice a year, and wash the topper once in a while! At the end of the day, this is a metal box that you bolt together, and there's not really that much to go wrong with it that can't be fixed in with generic materials or replacement parts that we stock and keep affordable.

In Practicality:

We stand behind our products and are committed to customer service. We are a very small company, but we pick up the phone! If something happens after the warranty has expired, talk to us about it. Thankfully, there's not that much to go wrong with a bolt-together box that can't be fixed in a moment or two. We keep our replacement parts inexpensive, and honestly, they're pretty generic, so maintaining your topper should be an easy task, whether you need to get stuff from us or the local hardware store. If there's an odd problem, we can recommend or send materials to repair the topper. If you bash your topper on rocks while doing badass off-roading, we can get a new panel for you.

What We Ask of Our Customers:

We promise to support our products! The days of unlimited lifetime warranties that were offered by the outdoor industry 20 years ago are gone because we all have that friend who just returned stuff that they got drunk and broke, ran over, decided they weren't going to use anymore, or whatever, thereby taking advantage of small companies who eventually axed those programs.  Truck toppers are pretty hard to return, and they lead as rough a life as your truck does. We vow to support you as our customer, and hope that you'll take some care to maintain your topper so it can keep on rockin' in the free world.

Order Cancellation:
Orders can be canceled at any time, however, a 3% processing fee will be applied to cover the credit card transaction fees. (Exceptions exist if we fail to deliver within the originally-stated timeframe)

In-Store Returns:
All returns must be made within 30 days of receiving. Toppers, campers and other items are subject up to a 20% restocking fee. The product must be in new, properly assembled, cleaned, unmodified, saleable condition to be considered for a return at all. (We had some customers who basically bought a camper for a trip, then returned it, so, this is the deal now, unfortunately)

Freight Shipment Return Policy:
We do not accept returns on freight shipments. (Exceptions exist if we made a mistake and sent you the wrong product, the product is defective, or something else that is obviously our fault).
Do-It-Yourself Leaks, Woes, Returns and Warranty:
We love DIY folks! Saving money is awesome. However, over the past year we had some real pieces of work come back from people who probably should have had the product installed. We will no longer be taking returns of any sloppily-assembled products. Leaks:  When the topper is assembled and adjusted properly, it will not leak, however, if the person assembling the topper does not follow instructions or pay attention, it could leak. We do not offer a leak warranty with self-assembled products. Sometimes there are small leaks that can be fixed easily with a dab of the included adhesive, and we can guide you through that adjustment process but we will not take returns because of them. Please also note that truck beds leak A LOT on their own through various seams, cracks, holes, etc.  We are happy to inspect/adjust/wire your DIY assembled products at our hourly shop rate.
