WanderFox Lair Camper for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL, 2018+
- Pre-Order Only (90 Days Out)
Turn Your Wrangler Into a Cabin on Wheels
The WanderFox Lair for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL replaces the factory hardtop with a lightweight, integrated pop-up camper designed specifically for the 2018+ Wrangler Unlimited.
Instead of stacking a heavy roof rack and rooftop tent high above the Jeep, the Lair keeps the camper low, light, secure, and integrated into the vehicle. It weighs only about 50 lb more than the stock hardtop and adds just 3.25 inches of height when closed, helping preserve the Wrangler’s fuel economy, handling, and off-road capability.
Product shown installed on a Wrangler JK. The JL model uses the same camper design with JL-specific fitment.
Built for Camping. Still Built for Jeeping.
Inside, a 7' long × 50" wide sleeping platform provides room for two, with a 500 lb weight capacity. Pass-through panels above the rear seat let you move between the passenger cabin and sleeping area without going outside.
Tinted, lockable rear-quarter windows swing upward for easy cargo access, while the tent includes full-opening side and rear panels with integrated bug screens and blackout panels.

Designed to Stay on Your Jeep
The Lair is designed to live on your Wrangler year-round without turning it into a bulky expedition rig. With the camper closed, the Jeep remains compact, secure, and ready for daily driving or serious trail use.
Our testing showed approximately a 0.5–1.5 MPG fuel-economy reduction, depending on driving conditions and vehicle setup.
Important Installation Note
The Lair reuses several components from the factory hardtop, including the front Freedom Panel latches, rear window glass, wiper/washer motor, mounting hardware, and wiring.
Jeeps originally equipped with a soft top will require these components to be sourced separately.
